back on topic, a perma-sin should be able to. avoiding the KD and weakness is why most classes can't solo him. SF should solve those two problems.

I'm pretty sure since sandstorm is AoE it will still go off and own him.

and aftershock would pass right through SF. or does he run to you to cast aftershock ?? if no then perma sin with ranger attack could kill him.

good points i forgot about the aoe effect. i could just never do it because of the KD and weakness. i would suggest a 55 sin or something along those lines but then you can't have [[glyph of sw] for sf. maybe a 55 ele with [[ward of stab]?

Anyway why would you want to solo this boss? Granite slabs and a so so earth focus don't seem worth the effort to me but if I was going to try I would fight err... earth w/ earth try a MoE Terra tank to absorb his damage and turn it back on him

yeah terra tank could do it
armor of earth, mantra of earth, stoneflesh aura and ob flesh would pretty much immune you to damage. now the damage part.
not a lot of foes are there, so sliver would not do enough damage. and he has aura of restoration and aftershock which recharge pretty fast so he can heal himself a bit.
Q: does he use aftershock only if your kd ?

^I don't think no, just like the kournan mages use it if you're in range.
Wouldn't a SoA/SH 55 work?
You'd have to clean up before tho so it doesn't really count as soloing :s

Aftershock: Adjacent
Sliver: Nearby.
All you need is to stop hugging him and use standart A/E...

If you're in HM just go A/E Sliver and pull some more groups and get him in ranger of Sliver. Add something like shadow refuge for healing when Aftershock hits you.
Edit: Might not be possible, though. 100 armor against earth in NM, and he has some more eles with him, and you bet they'll use Aftershock as much as possible.

^^ Aftershock still hits through Vow of Silence. Just so you know. Same reason why Shadow Form (probably) wouldn't work.
All I remember is that this dude wtf pwned me when I went to cap Sandstorm, but I don't think it was him so much as the other eles with him spiking me all at once. As was said by Damian, I can't imagine the need to farm him but I'm interested in seeing if someone has a way.

Well since the advice my Mom gave was deleted I'll tell you this.
You either need to get that Aura of Restoration off of him, or use it against him with something like [skill]ScoUrge Healing[/skill]. Also that PvE Only skill [skill]Pain Inverter[/skill] should do TONS of damage, though with hex durations lasting less time on Bosses dunno how well that will work.
I also agree with the "Fight earth with earth" comment above.
Fight him at range and you avoid the Aftershock.
With Armor and Self healing you can tank and the ScoUrge healing/pain inverter will own him if he Sandstorms then spamms Stone Daggers.
So I say go Ele/Mo in some form.

You can definately kill him with a Spirit Spammer Ritualist if you use the right skill set for the job. But of course it does require to take henches/heros to clear the area, then flag them off radar so they won't kill your chance at greens. Take a look at my green farming guide: Ritualist Spirit Bomber - Green Farming!
What you will need is 55/105hp armor while using Protective Spirit and Vampirism to reduce damage spikes plus heal you from spirits attacks... if that won't work, take Nightmare weapon with you to help heal yourself and kill the boss at the same time. This might mean you would need to sacrifice a Spirit, and I am guessing that would be Wanderlust as I don't think that boss can be knockdown, but I ain't sure. Or, you can take out Shadow Song and keep Wanderlust for damage. You can also try taking Warmonger's Weapon to help interrupt his spells, and reducing damage so Vampirism will beable heal you and keep you alive.
Let me know if it works, or pm me in game if you need help. I might beable to figure it out.

His ele sword? What the heck Guild Wars are you playing?
I could be wrong, but never heard of an ele boss having a non-caster green,
